Russell Beans, our longtime creature illustrator, is back on the cover! He designed our very first issue so we thought it fitting to bring him back for Issue 10, especially since our *secret* theme is family and friends. 
 
The cover is a family of prehistoric terror birds enjoying themselves in a Florida landscape -- but an asteroid is coming. Islandia looks forward to our rebirth this Fall. New ways of publishing. New volumes in print and online. The asteroid is symbolic of our own apocalypse, which is really just a new beginning!
